Now offering video pipe inspection

Gravel Grading and Excavating in Cascade, Iowa has always provided a broad range of excavating and grading services. This usually requires huge machines, but this spring we have added a tiny new addition to our fleet: A pipe inspection camera.

Not unlike a remote-controlled car, we are able to maneuver our camera through difficult to reach spaces. Established plumbing can be difficult to reach whether it is far underground, or covered by existing structures. We are now able to make a visual assessment of systems and excavate only where needed. 
Even our best systems can find trouble over time. Aging plumbing systems can suffer from:

• Physical damage to pipes. This can be caused by the shifting of earth over time. This could be a problem if you notice extra water waste or systems not draining properly.
• Damage to joints and seals. Our camera allows us to get a close-up interior look at these stress points.
• Roots. Tree roots are always seeking the easiest path to nutrients, and a tiny crack can become a big problem if a tree root finds the water source.
• Clogs. Any plumbing system can have a variety of clogs, whether from something flushed through a toilet or the buildup of scale and minerals over time. This can cause water to stop or back up through your system. 

We love to move earth, but our camera will prevent us from doing so unnecessarily. Our pipe and line inspection service can survey pipes 2-10 inches in diameter 120 feet long. We are able to pinpoint concerns to the nearest foot! Having a camera inspection of your plumbing system can reduce the damage of digging to find the culprit. We can more quickly and efficiently find and address plumbing problems. Our camera even makes regular maintenance possible and affordable to avoid extensive reconstruction work.
